Two PeaS iN a PoD, 1st biRthDaY!!!!
The Twin's turned 1 today!!! It was a very great occasion, I have been waiting for it...well all year! We had a theme of 2 peas in a pod, green and yellow. I worked hard all day yesterday putting together the party we had for the family and a few friends. It was worth it I really enjoyed myself. Even though the boys got all dirty I was glad to see that I had made it through the last year of their lives. They are both walking and are going to talk any day! It has been fun, but they never cease to amaze me. I talked to a mother of Identical Twins the other day, it made me a little jealous to hear all the things that they did together, that my kids just seem to not do at all. I sometimes think it would be more fun with Identical twin's but I have to say I love them the way they are and they love being them. I just hope that they grow up to love one another and not resent each other. Sometime I think I see where it could happen but they know I love them and they are loved by many so hopefully it won't be a problem. I love them being one and I can't wait to see what the second year brings!

walking x2
Don't know if I mentioned it or not before but I have to keep reminding myself that I have to be just as excited the 2nd time as the 1st time the Twins do things. Like rolling over or crawling, tonight Tristin walked about 6 step to me and I was so excited for him. I thought he would never get it, But just when I think that something that they can do surprises me. Gavin has been mimicking a lot lately and so the other day at my friends house and someone on the T.V. was clapping and he just started clapping, WHAT!!! I didn't even now he thought it was something to do, I have been trying to get him to do it for weeks even months. Tristin has clapped for a while and now with Gavin doing it is 2x as fun! I guess I don't have to really worry about "acting" excited the 2nd time it seems to just happen, I guess as a parent it is never old news just because the others already done it and mastered it. I am always happy for my kids to accomplish anything.
Just a little story. I was checking Tristin's diaper to see if he was poopy the other day, you know the lift up the shirt in the back and pull the diaper out. Well after I established that he was not poopy, I look over and Gavin is pulling Tristin's shirt up in the back and trying to pull the back of Tristin's Diaper out with his finger. He didn't even know what he was doing, just that Mom had done it and so he wanted to also.
